![]() I also wish it had one more zippered pocket, maybe in the top flap with the zipper hidden near the top seam, and maybe one slash pocket on the side for a small water bottle or cellphone like the other Timbuk2 backpacks. While I think it could be improved in a couple of areas, I like the bag and look forward to being out and about with my new Macbook Air 11 safetly tucked into the CandyBar bag. The bag itself is very narrow front to back, which also helps to keep the weight close to your back. The two lightweight sewn backpack straps are wide enough to spread the load, have just the right amount of padding and are spaced a good width apart for a women. The bag fits comfortably on my back loaded up with my laptop plus essentials. It's soft and pliable and has a nice feel to it. One thing I like is that the ballistic nylon material of the bag is more lightweight than what the Timbuk2 messenger bags are made with. This pocket is rather small (seen in the photo) in width. It fits my 2 small moleskine journals but not my wallet.Īnd about the top flap. Luckily another vertical zippered pocket is more easily accessed from the front without opening up the front flap. It is a little annoying to have to take the pens out to zip open the pocket. My standard sized pens stick up a couple of inches interfering with the zipper of this pocket. ![]() ![]() Unfortunately the pen pockets do not go deep enough. Lifting the top flap and lowering the front flap reveals a front panel with small organizing pockets for pens and cards, and one horizontal zippered pocket at the top with an internal lanyard. I really hate the black hole effect of some bags. Luckily it's lined with a light-colored nylon fabric that allows for good visibility. The large interior compartment is roomy enough to fill with all the essentials, but it's rather deep. However, it also fits our 13"macbook, although it's a smidge tight in the smaller dimension. The company's literature claims that it is for ipads and netbooks. It has a zippered side opening to a padded compartment in the back for the laptop. This bag is not specifically made for a Macbook Air, but as it is targeted to women, is somewhat compact. Enter the Timbuk2 CandyBar laptop backpack:
